Student Loans and Grants
CANADA STUDENT LOANS, PROVINCIAL STUDENT LOANS Christ For The Nations Bible College students may qualify for both Canada student Loans and Provincial Student Loans
- It is the student'sresponsibility to inquire with the appropriate provincial office regarding student loan documents.
- Please allow 60-90 days for government processing of the application.
- Admission: For September admission, you are encouraged to apply for Student Loans by June 1 and before July 15th. For January admission, you are encouraged to apply for Student Loans by October 1 and before November 15.
- Eligibility: Students who are enrolled in at least 9 credit hours and who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

- Note: Government loans might not cover the entire cost of both semesters and students receiving Canada Student Loans must attend 90% of all classes.

PASSPORT TO EDUCATION This scholarship for BC high school students, who attain marks in the top 30 percent of their class, is applicable to Christ For The Nations Bible College.
RECRUITMENT CREDIT GRANTS Your recommendation is our best advertisement! For each full-time student you recruit who finishes at least 8 weeks of a term you will receive credit in the amount of $200. You may consult the Registrar to confirm the details of the recruitment credit plan.
FIRST NATIONS Christ For The Nations Bible College, as a degree-granting college, is recognized by the First Nations as an institution of Post-secondary education. Qualifying students may be eligible for funding assistance from their band council. Details, specifics, and qualifications on the above are available from the Finance Office.

Deferred Payment Plan
Students unable to pay in advance may apply for the deferred payment plan. Only the housing and tuition charges can be deferred. All other fees include any private music lessons must be paid in full upon registration. A handling charge of 5% of the total balance deferred will be added to your bill. The actual payment amount varies but can be estimated by the following formula: approximately 35% of total bill due at registration, 2/3 of the remaining balance due on the third day of each of the following three months. Students may apply for he deferred payment plan for the summer semester only if they are taking five or more credits. A late payment fee of $25 is assessed if a payment is not made on the due date. For more information, see the student handbook (copy available on request). The deferred payment plan is only available to full-time Canadian students.
Scholarships and Bursaries
- Married Student Grant: The spouse of a full-time student may receive a 25% tuition grant. The spouse eligible for the discount is considered to be the one taking the fewer credit hours. The courses must be taken for credit. This spousal discount is offered when both spouses are registered in the same semester.
- Christian Ministry Grant: Students whose parent is in or has been in (during the past 6 months prior to registration) full-time Christian ministry (i.e. pastor, missionary, recognized para-church organization), is eligible for a 25% tuition grant when the student is enrolled full-time.
- Work Study Scholarship: Students can easily fit part-time employment into their study schedules. Morning classes for full-time students are from 8:00 am to noon, Monday through Friday. American and international students, whose visas from the Canadian government do not permit outside employment, may apply for on-campus work. A limited number of Work Study positions are available to students who meet the relevant job performance requirements. Work Study positions are assigned on the basis of need unless a position has specific requirements. Work Study Assistance application forms are provided to all applicants upon the completion of their application to CFN. Please note that a deadline of July 31st applies. Details are available from the Finance Office.
- Instrumental Scholarship – The Instrumental Scholarship is designed to off-set the cost of studies for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Theology in Ancient & Contemporary Worship Studies. These awards are available to proficient instrumentalists in the areas of piano/keyboard, electric bass, acoustic/electric guitar, and drums. Award recipients will comprise the college’s worship band for regular worship chapels and local church music ministry. The scholarship shall apply only to the music and worship tuition portions of a full-time student’s course load. The scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis if conditions of eligibility continue to be met. Application for the scholarship via personal or recorded audition must be submitted via mail or email by July 15th 2011, along with supporting documents including a personal worship and music history, and working philosophy of worship. click for Application
- Bursaries: CFN awards bursaries as funds that are donated for student assistance. Applications are available for returning students at the Registrar’s Office. Bursaries are normally awarded in the second semester of the school year.
